Students that are applying for or have been receiving student loans, grants or any other form of financial assistance through the Canada federal and national government need to know as much as they can about the National Student Loans Service Center (NSLSC)
Through the NSLSC there are so many things that students can be able to learn about which make their lives more convenient when it come to their student loans. It is because of this that you need to know when to contact the NSLSC, how and why.
As a student, you need to know what your loan account number is. However, if for some reason you do not know about this, you can get in touch with the NSLSC to help out. When you exceed these attempts allocated to you, the system will automatically lock you out and even prevent you from gaining access to the system. Most of the time students worry about whether or not they are eligible to use the NSLSC services. Eligibility for the student loans normally depends on the kind of student loan that you may have applied for. You need to get in touch with the NSLSC to find out more about the loans that are covered by the online services because not all of them usually are.
There are some financial services that can be provided by a financial institution that you are affiliated to, especially those that were administered before 1st August 2000 which are not covered by the online services.
In the event that some of your financial assistance programs are administered through the NSLSC while others are run through your financial institution, you can still use the NSLSC online service.
